The seasonally adjusted rate of change in the consumer price index (CPI) during the month of November 2002 was 0.1 percent (an increase of one-tenth of one percent). The rate of increase in the consumer price index over the past twelve months was 2.2 percent. In November, the core consumer price index, which excludes energy and food prices, increased by 0.2 percent.
