Entrepreneurial Spirit: Food Cart is designed to encourage students to apply their creative energies to designing a cart that will sell food. Students work in groups to create their concept and basic business plan to share with the class. Appropriate for students in grades 3 to 12. It is from Who’s Out to Lunch: The Economics of the Food Service Industry.

I love this lesson because it lets the students be the entrepreneur, choose their own creative product, and learn how, where, etc. to sell it. Students learn best when they feel like they are involved and in charge of the learning, which is exactly what this lesson does!
