Focus on Economic Data: Gross Domestic Product - August 2001

The growth in real GDP over the past few years has been relatively high when compared with the early part of the 1990s. However, during the last 2 quarters of 2000 and the first two quarters of 2001, the rate of growth of real gross domestic product slowed tremendously.
